  This is a very friendly church in a lovely district of town. We live in the neighborhood and stopped in for a visit and were so welcomed. They keep the grounds beautiful and have a very active youth for families with children. The pastor gave a very intelligent and passionate sermon that really resonated. I am not a big fan of some of the "rituals" and repetitive but the whole of the experience was delightful.

  I am the Pastor of McIlwain and have been unsuccessful in trying to contact Pat Baggio, the author of the above negative review. I do not remember meeting Pat, but most importantly, I would never have said what I am purported to have said. There are several mixed-race couples in our church, including the Assistant Pastor and his wife. Perhaps he has us confused with someone else.
  
  On a lighter note, I couldn't post this unless I rated McIlwain--so, naturally, because of the gracious folks here, I gave us 5 stars!
